I’ve been paying more attention than normal Christmas-inspired fashion this year, and I’ve been surprised to find one unexpected piece growing on me: the festive sweater.

(Oblige me for just a few minutes and put aside the fact that we’re going into summer in Australia, which means most of us couldn’t wear one of these even if we wanted to.)

For me, the thought of a Christmas-themed sweater initially conjured up images of a miserable looking Bridget Jones, cigarette and glass of chardonnay in hand, at the most boring Christmas party in history.

In short – dorkfest.

But designers like Moschino, Isabel Marant and Marc Jacobs have completely changed my perspective by releasing some quirky, but incredibly chic options
